What is curation jail? I hear writers speak about it.

I get at least one piece curated a day. Not that much happens though. I am not behind the medium paywall so I just experience a slight bump in viewership.

what I have found is that if a piece is curated and for some reason I go back and edit it ( typo etc) I get locked out of the curation list for about a week.
