I came to Medium not knowing anything about self publishing or being published. I had been writing a daily blog for a few months and was looking for a new platform to share my work. And so I started on Medium by self publishing. After posting my second story, (I think) I was contacted by The Innovation and invited to publish with them. I had to google what I was being invited to do.

Since then they have published several of my stories and I am grateful for this.

So like a child with no fear, I had jumped into the 'dreaded' self publishing arena. I still self publish stories that I want to share.

I do not wait to be published. They may get less reads but If one person reads one of my story, I have reached one more than if I didn't post it at all.
