How will writers benefit from tipping if all of their stories are for members only? Does this mean that members will go around tipping each other? The members only option narrows the reach of writers. But as I understand it, you can use the option to make your stories to be for members only or not.

As a paying member of Medium, I honestly do not see myself tipping another writer. My claps, highlights and words of appreciation on a good piece written are my tips. Who else will?
