You missed the whole point of the article. For one it was written to be humorous; for two it was written to highlight some of the loopholes and still to be fixed features on Medium. You can become Top Writer, not from the quality of what you write; not how many persons find your stories engaging and useful, but just by posting a lot of stories under a certain tag.

So perhaps at the end of the day, being Top Writer might have little worth.

Whether or not you find my work worth reading would not stop me from writing on this platform. And for the record, there are about 42 other writers who have shared stories under the ONE LOVE tag so saying "none uses" is a false statement.
