A curious brown spotted lizard climbed up on my kitchen stove as I was making my coffee. I did not blame it, the smell was divine. I had nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves swirling around in some almond milk, into which I will pour the newly moka-brewed coffee. The lizard looked at me but would not move.
“The stove is going to get hot just now, you better run.”
“I will take a scalding any day for a taste of what you are making,” lizard responded.
“Let me put some to cool on a saucer so that you can have a taste,” I offered.
I wonder if I when I return later, I will see a lizard bouncing off the walls on a caffeine high.
Now that would be funny.
